I know what I see and it's a bad line in run and pass blocking that needs to be revamped

In Brady's case it was the team around him that made him play worse. We still have to see if that's the case with Brock

Pressure is pressure. He either gets pressured or he doesn't. I'm assuming you don't value pressure stats for the DL either? You're a sack only guy? Brock's been sacked the 20th least amount this yr.

You see what you want to see. FWIW Brock had a higher pressure rate % last yr.

Without question….but if he's gonna be the man, he's gotta elevate a roster at some pt.

You can't expect to have half a dozen pro-bowler/all-pros on the offense every year in order to compete.

1980s niners were stacked. So were the 90s niners. But I agree, he needs to have his moment.

A sack is a sack. A pressure is subjective. It's not that hard to understand

No I do not value any of that crap. It actually kinda pisses me off when it's referenced to excuse Bosa

Anyways we need to replace LG C and RT. We have the worst center in the nfl that gets thrown on his ass every other play. That alone will effect a QBs play, but go ahead and keep praising them

Okay so Brock is 20th in the league regarding being sacked…20th! He's been hit 32x this yr. Dats it.

listen if you don't value pressure metrics that's fine, that does NOT mean you're correct. Damn near every metic regarding pass-pro/pressures has SF middle of the pack. It's not elite, it's far from the worst.

Brock is playing poorly all on his own. Again if he needs great play across the board to be good….that's a problem. That's not subjective that's common sense.

A hard cap changes things for sure…everyone wants a stud roster top to bottom. I'd say we've been about as close as you can get to that the past couple years. Once you start paying your QB massive amounts of money and he's not holding up to his end of the bargain, that's when s**t hits the fan. You can't restructure QB contracts to keep the cap workable, if they're not playing well.

Yes and there's context behind those numbers. It could be from bailing the pocket early. Could be from great scrambling. Could be less drop backs than others. There isn't one answer, and based on what I've seen the answer isn't "good offensive line"

I think we are mediocre at every level of offense and I'm not surprised that a 24 year old qb isn't having his best season with this offense. Could he just suck like you desperately want him to? Possibly. Or this could just be a young player having a down year in a bad offense. We don't know the answer yet

Only the film AND stats do not backup your "objective" analysis. Plain and simple.

I think there's plenty of QBs playing with mediocrity around them doing more.

why would I want him to suck? The last thing I want is a QB controversy and having to look for another QB. I like Brock. I'm also not gonna blindly make up crap because I want something to be true. This wouldn't be such a big deal if they didn't have to pay him a quarter billion dollars.

There are plenty of players with a center that constantly gets thrown on his ass and a 7th rd #1 that runs a 4.8? Where is that guy? I don't see any qb killing it with less than that

Herbert and Stafford both have worse PBLK centers currently. Mahomes has god awful OTs. Burrow and Allen both have horrible IOLs.

Acting like Brock is the only QB that doesn't have a pristine OL is ridiculous

You're just narrowing it down to OL now. Burrow and Mahomes have bad interior, but Burrow weapons wayyy better than ours. Mahomes in similar situation with just an elite te, but he's not lighting it up either.

Allen has better weapons and line. He's also in year 7. Herbert is like 4 points higher in passer rating, and 6 points lower in QBR. Is he really doing more?

This team could be effecting a 3rd year 24 year old qb. Why can't you accept that possibility?
Where are all the moronic posts saying that Kyler Murray is better than Purdy

I rarely seen a bigger choke artist

Yeah Charlie the examples he gave are wrong. They are definitely better Centers than the WORST starting C in the NFL in Brendel.
Worst qb in business against man coverage, yet there is discussion if he could be our franchise qb...
